What I learned about violence against women
Violence against women is one the most wide spread violation of human rights. Violence against women can be physical, psychological, and sexual abuse. It can be within a family for example arranged marriage, male dominance.
- About 5,000 women are murdered each year in the name of honor killing.
- Between 4% to 12% of women have reported that they were abused during their pregnancy.
- 6 out every 10 women experience physical and sexual violence in their life time.

I chose to do violence against women because it's a human rights concern that affects millions of women around the world. Women have been mentally and physically abused by husbands, family members or anyone close to them. Most women who've been abused aren't aware of their rights. I beleive that it's time to raise awareness about violence against women and let women all around the world know their right.
