Reflection
1.       1.Considering the development opportunities available to you this year, how have you applied what you learned?
I have applied what I learned in many ways. Learning how to use a power point was very helpful in my classes. I learned what to do and what not to do to make a great PowerPoint like adding pictures. I have also used Microsoft Word in my classes. It has helped me in writing a position paper for Model United Nations, and writing an essay in IPC.

2.       2.What strengths do you possess that you can use at a higher level next year?
Two of my strengths are Microsoft Word and PowerPoint. I can use these next year in my classes because the higher grade level you are in the more that you use these skills. I will use these skills in projects. Sense these are my strengths they will hopefully help me get a better grade when I present my projects.

3.      3. What obstacles must you work through so you can meet all your goals for this year?
The thing I worked through to meet my goal this year was learning to work efficiently, diligently and not to get of task. By doing this I completed my work. I also turned my work on time and I did it correctly. I also tried not to get of task and let my mind wonder instead of doing my work.

4.      4. Discuss what you have learned during the class and how it will assist you in achieving further academic and work related goals.
I’ve learned allot about computers these year that will help me in the future. Learning how to create tables and graphs can help in my job in the future. I learned more on how to use Microsoft Word which can help me when writing essays in college and for getting into college. All these skills that I’ve learned can help me get a job in the future.

5.      5. If you could do any assignment over this year, which one would it be and why? Any regrets?
I have no regrets about this class. If I can do anything assignment over this year it would be the vocabularies.  Even though we wrote the definition and examples of the words I didn’t fully know the meaning of them. That didn’t help me in taking the vocabulary quizzes because it was allot to memorize. Some of the words were very similar.

6.       6.What are 3 words you would use to describe this class?
Three words that I would use to describe this class is Informational, Important, and fun.

7.       7.How did your computer skills grow or improve over the course of the year?
My computer skills grew allot this year.  I’ve learned allot like making all types of graphs and tables that I didn’t know how to do before. I didn’t know how to create tables or graph and add information to them. Leaning this will help me later in the future.

8.       8.What were your greatest challenges or lessons learned?
One of the greatest lessons I’ve learned is that you cannot add to many words or bullet points in a slide on a PowerPoint. It can make the viewer lose interest. One of the greatest challenges I faced was creating a webpage. The coding was hard it was allot of words. It confused me because you need so many different codes for everything.

I think that the outcome of my project should be a pretty good outcome. I know it's not perfect but it's a start and i'm hoping for positive comments about it. I would like for everyone to know that there are many forms of violence against women. Each form of violence can lead to another topic for example human trafficking.

What I learned about violence against women

Violence against women is one the most wide spread violation of human rights. Violence against women can be physical, psychological, and sexual abuse. It can be within a family for example arranged marriage, male dominance.
  • About 5,000 women are murdered each year in the name of  honor killing.
  • Between 4% to 12% of women have reported  that they were abused during their pregnancy.
  • 6 out every 10 women experience physical and sexual violence in their life time.

I chose to do violence against women because it's a human rights concern that affects millions of women around the world. Women have been mentally and physically abused by husbands, family members or anyone close to them. Most women who've been abused aren't aware of their rights.  I beleive that it's time to raise awareness about violence against women and let women all around the world  know their right.
